Category Sales OverviewThe District Manager's primary duty is to sell medical devices and related equipment and services to physicians, hospitals, and outpatient facilities by establishing relationships with these health care providers. The District Manager will be customarily and regularly away from Cook's place of business in performing job functions and duties.The Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery division of Cook Medical focuses on minimally invasive treatment options for salivary gland disorders, chronic rhinosinusitis, and dysphagia.Product line includes devices to support sialendoscopy and stone extraction; esophageal dilation balloons; biopsy needles; and advanced tissue repair grafts.For more information about Cook Medical, visit www.cookmedical.comResponsibilities Develop new business and expands existing businessDevelop, maintain and execute an annual business plan for theterritoryMeet and exceed projected sales goalsParticipate in national, state, and regional sales exhibitsMaintain timely expense reportsKeep current on the managed health care environmentEducate customers, through conversations, presentations/in-servicesand literatureMust travel overnight as needed Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for othersthroughout various levels of the global organizationMust strictly adhere to safety requirementsMaintain regular and punctual attendanceMust maintain company quality and quantity standardsMust have effective oral and written communication skillsExcellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative andindependent work situations and environments with minimal supervisionAbility to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situationsQualificationsMinimum Work Experience/Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; or experience ofsuch kind and amount as to provide a comparable backgroundKnowledge of Microsoft software, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPointExperience in problem solvingExperience in working independently with little direct supervisionPhysical Requirements/Work Environment: Subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA, must be(a) physically capable of operating a motor vehicle on a regular basis, (b) aholder of a valid driver's license, and (c) in good standing to legally operate amotor vehicleFrequently lift product sample cases, weighing between 20 and 50 lbs.
