Shorr Packaging Corporation Customer Service Representative in Fishers, Indiana

At Shorr, our Customer Service Representatives are critical to the success of our business! In this role, you will be the liaison between Shorr and our valued customers to ensure a positive experience every time. Through close collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure that our business and sales strategies are executed at a very high level.

  • Set up and maintain customer files

  • Gather pertinent details to provide quotes to current and prospective customers

  • Manage and maintain customer profiles in our ERP system

  • Track and manage product rebate information

  • Manage orders including products, quantity, cost, resale, freight terms and requested delivery timing

  • Research new items as needed for customer

  • Monitor internal reports to ensure customer deliverables are met

  • Review account margins and communicate with sales

  • Investigate customer requests for returns and coordinate credits and/or replacement product(s)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, knowledge of logistics, including carriers, shipping policies and procedures, superior organizational skills including the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

COMPUTER/OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS

Microsoft Office with emphasis on Outlook, Word and Excel.

eCommerce and/or distribution experience desired, but not required

Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, multi-line phone and other common office equipment and software

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), negotiation and good phone skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
