Summary

Under the guidance of the Director, coordinates, and provides excellent professional nursing care for clinical research patients in accordance research protocol guidelines, department policies and procedures, American Nurses Association standards of Clinical Practice, Indiana Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics. Additionally coordinates clinical research trials, regulatory activities and staff education in compliance with government and industry regulations including the Code of Federal Regulations for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), health and Human Services (HHS), International Conference on Harmonisation Guidelines (ICH) and Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (GCPs). Under the strategic guidance of the Director Nursing Services, develops, measures and manages programs and process improvement initiatives. This includes working across the health system, with community organizations.

Education

Must have an BSN from accredited program. Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA). Master's degree preferred.

Additional Licensure/Certification

Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required. Must take CITI training within the first three months of employment.
