Position Summary:

The Quality Auditor is responsible for organizing, scheduling and helping to conduct quality audits (e.g. ISO, VDA 6.3). Lead plant resources through corrective actions and improvements of audit findings. Be the focal contact and lead preparation for external audits (e.g. QFMA, ISO, Product Safety, customer).

Essential Functions:

  • Create and maintain audit schedules.

  • Lead ISO/VDA audits.

  • Lead teams through audit action corrective actions.

  • Lead process and product audits (VDA, ISO, QFMA, Product Safety)

  • Be focal contact for external audits. Lead preparation activities.

  • Provide leadership in developing and implementing corrective actions to Audit findings.

  • Track audit actions to completion.

Required Skills

Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of VDA 6.3 & 6.5, TS16949 and ISO9001, and Advanced Product Quality Planning.

  • Familiar with Automotive Manufacturing Process requirements

  • Experienced Lead Auditor

Skills:

  • Solid experience in a technical field such as Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.

  • High level of energy, enthusiasm and optimism, as well as a sense of urgency and passion for excellence.

  • Capable of working in a Team environment with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Project planning and follow-up skills essential.

  • Ability to build strong customer relationships.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Six Sigma Black or Green Belt certified a plus.

  • Must be fluent in English

  • Minimum 5 years of quality experience in the automotive/truck industry with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Tier 1 supplier is required.

Required Experience

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in an engineering environment.

  • Education:

  • BS/BSET degree required in Manufacturing, Process, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Working knowledge of Automotive/Trucking Industry Quality requirements and standards a plus.
