Union Hospital HOUSEKEEPER-UHTH ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES in TERRE HAUTE, Indiana
Demonstrates knowledge of, observes, and complies with Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures.
Utilizes appropriate reference material such as employee handbook, departmental procedures, safety manual, equipment manual, etc.
Uses correct procedures such as high dusting, bathroom cleaning, wet mopping, vacuuming, wall washing, trash removal, bed making, etc., whereas providing a clean environment for patients, visitors, and Hospital employees.
Demonstrates knowledge of the use of electrical equipment and other equipment used In housekeeping; i.e., vacuum, wringer, wall washer, etc.
Demonstrates knowledge of proper chemicals and their uses; stainless steel cleaner, glass cleaner, Sanimaster IV for general cleaning, etc.
Exhibits dependability, including reporting to work on time (punctuality) and working all scheduled shifts (attendance).
Follows daily work schedule as assigned, maintaining proper productivity standards.
Maintains all equipment in clean condition for the next shift.
Keeps informed of Infection C ontrol and Quality Assurance information.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Functional grasp of standard written and verbal English and basic math.
Ability to follow instructions.
Flexible in schedule to meet the demands of the department.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Previous cleaning experience strongly preferred.
